The Graduate Trainee Consumer Lending Executive will be trained to support the acquisition, processing, and management of consumer loan products. The role is designed for fresh graduates with strong sales potential who are eager to build a career in banking, finance, or consumer lending. Successful candidates will undergo structured training and on-the-job coaching to develop skills in customer acquisition, credit assessment, and loan portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell consumer lending products such as personal loans, salary loans, asset finance, and SME-related consumer products
- Identify and onboard new customers through field marketing, referrals, and direct sales activities
- Educate customers on loan products, eligibility criteria, interest rates, and repayment terms
- Assist customers in completing loan application documentation accurately
- Conduct preliminary customer profiling and basic credit checks in line with company policy
- Follow up on submitted loan applications to ensure timely approval and disbursement
- Support loan recovery efforts by following up on repayments and managing delinquent accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and activity reports
- Comply with all internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards
- Participate in training programs, sales meetings, and performance reviews
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, or related fields
- 0–2 years of experience (NYSC completed or currently serving may apply)
- Strong interest in sales, banking, and financial services
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a target-driven and fast-paced environment
- Willingness to engage in field sales and customer acquisition
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email)
