CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of the school premises, staff, students, and visitors. The role requires vigilance, confidentiality, and prompt reporting of incidents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor live CCTV feeds and review recorded footage to detect suspicious or unusual activities.
- Operate and control all CCTV equipment efficiently and in line with security procedures.
- Identify, record, and report security incidents promptly to the Security Supervisor or Management.
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports of observations and actions taken.
- Ensure all surveillance systems are functioning properly and report faults immediately.
- Assist in investigations by retrieving and preserving CCTV footage when required.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all surveillance information and recordings.
- Work collaboratively with security personnel and management to maintain a safe environment.
- Follow all school policies, safety guidelines, and legal requirements related to surveillance.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a BA/B.sc/HNDA
- Proven experience as a CCTV Operator or in a related security role is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of CCTV systems, monitors, and recording equipment.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
