Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

  • Greet guests promptly and warmly with a polished, professional demeanor
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements to ensure smooth service flow
  • Escort guests to tables and present menus with attention to detail
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests with courtesy and efficiency

Front-of-House Coordination

  • Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and the kitchen to balance seating and pacing
  • Monitor dining room activity and adjust seating plans as needed
  • Assist with special occasions, VIP guests, and guest preferences

Professional Standards

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and elegant host stand and entrance area
  • Uphold the restaurant’s dress code, grooming standards, and brand image
  • Answer phones, manage inquiries, and handle guest concerns with discretion

Administrative Duties

  • Accurately manage reservation systems and guest notes
  • Record guest feedback and relay important information to management
  • Support opening and closing duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous hostess or front-of-house experience preferred, especially in upscale or fine dining settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm, confident demeanor in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to remain professional under pressure
