Responsibilities
- Product Delivery: Transporting fresh bread and other baked goods from the bakery to various clients (grocery stores, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.) following an established route and schedule.
- Sales and Business Development: Actively seeking out and signing up new retailers or distributors to expand the bakery's customer base and meet sales targets.
- Merchandising and Stock Management: Unloading products, rotating stock to ensure freshness (first-in, first-out), and arranging appealing product displays at customer locations.
- Customer Relationship Management: Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, building positive relationships, addressing inquiries or complaints, and identifying specific customer needs and market trends.
- Inventory and Payment Handling: Verifying delivery orders, managing inventory counts, handling invoices, collecting payments or signatures, and ensuring accurate and timely remittance of funds and paperwork to the bakery office.
Logistical and Operational Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Operation and Maintenance: Operating a company vehicle safely, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Route Planning: Planning and optimizing delivery travel schedules and service routes for efficiency.
- Product Care: Ensuring products are loaded, transported, and unloaded carefully to avoid damage and maintain freshness and quality.
- Reporting: Preparing and presenting daily, weekly, or monthly sales and activity reports to management.
- Adherence to Standards: Following all food safety, sanitation, and traffic regulations.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an HND / SSCE / OND / NCE with at least 2 years experience.
