Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Live-In Caregiver to provide daily support and companionship for an elderly person an elderly person whose children are abroad. The ideal candidate will assist with personal care, medication reminders, mobility support, meal assistance, and general wellbeing, while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and respectful living environment.
This role is best suited for someone who is kind-hearted, attentive, and genuinely passionate about caring for the elderly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily personal care
- Provide mobility support and ensure safety within the home
- Prepare or assist with meals and feeding when necessary
- Remind and assist with taking medications as prescribed
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Monitor health, mood, and general wellbeing
- Keep the living area clean and organized
- Accompany the elderly person to appointments when required
- Communicate observations and concerns to family members abroad
- Ensure comfort, dignity, and respect at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in elderly care
- Calm, patient, and empathetic personality
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and personal care
- Physically able to assist with movement when needed
- Honest, trustworthy, and responsible
- Willingness to live within the household
- Must be able to work long-term
Added Advantage
- Training in caregiving, nursing, or health assistance
- Experience with mobility challenges or age-related conditions
- First aid knowledge
Working Arrangement:
- Live-in (accommodation and meals provided)
- One day off per week (to be agreed)
