Job Summary
- Our organization, a leading player in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team in Sagamu, Ogun State.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a broad range of HR services, including employee onboarding, documentation management, pension administration, attendance monitoring, and compliance with labour laws.
- The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HR operations within a manufacturing environment and demonstrate the ability to support both management and staff in achieving organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring proper orientation and seamless integration into the organization.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date employee records, including documentation, attendance, and leave management.
- Administer employee pension schemes, including computation and timely remittance.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian Labour Laws and relevant statutory regulations applicable to the manufacturing industry.
- Support recruitment and selection processes, from vacancy identification through to offer and onboarding.
- Provide guidance to staff on HR policies, employee relations, and performance management issues.
- Monitor HR metrics such as attendance, turnover, and disciplinary actions, and prepare periodic reports for management.
- Coordinate and support staff training, development, and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- CIPM Certification is an added advantage
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experiencein a Human Resources Generalist role within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Lawsand HR compliance standards.
- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information and handle sensitive issues with professionalism.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Must be resident in Sagamu, Ogun State or willing to relocate closer to the factory location.
