Role Summary
The Client Business Lead oversees the full marketing and business performance of assigned brands. This role manages the brand managers and brand associates, drives strategic planning, leads promotions, and ensures all marketing activities align with sales data, customer insights, and overall business goals.
The role is responsible for delivering strong brand growth, seamless client management, and execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Brand Leadership
- Lead the overall marketing direction for the brand(s) to achieve growth targets.
- Translate client business objectives into actionable marketing and promotional strategies.
- Manage and supervise brand managers and brand associates, providing guidance, coaching, and performance oversight.
Client Management
- Serve as the primary strategic partner to the client on brand, marketing, and promotional decisions.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and quarterly business reviews.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively recommend initiatives that drive growth.
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Oversee campaign planning across digital, traditional, and experiential touchpoints.
- Drive promo strategy (trade promotions, consumer promos, activations) using sales and market data.
- Ensure all marketing deliverables are timely, accurate, and on-brand.
Data-Driven Decision Making
- Work closely with client sales teams to understand sales trends, stock movement, and regional performance.
- Use data insights to recommend promo plans, distribution pushes, and content priorities.
- Track performance of all campaigns against KPIs and adjust strategies accordingly.
Internal Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor the brand team (Brand Managers + Brand Associates).
- Ensure excellent coordination with Strategy, Creative, Digital, Media, and Production units.
- Improve operational efficiency and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
Financial & Commercial Oversight
- Guide annual marketing planning and budget allocation with the client.
- Monitor project margins, approval cycles, and financial health of each account.
- Ensure profitable account management and identify upsell opportunities.

Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in marketing, client service, brand management, or business strategy.
- Experience working with FMCG, manufacturing, or high-volume product brands is an advantage.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing multiple brands or accounts.
