The accountant will manage all financial transactions, from fixed assets and receivables to payroll and tax audits.
The primary goal is to ensure the company maintains accurate financial records, remains profitable, and stays compliant with all statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance: Compute taxes and prepare tax returns (VAT, WHT, CIT, and PAYE) to ensure timely filing and avoid penalties.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist management in preparing annual budgets and monitoring variances throughout the year.
Payroll Processing: Coordinate with HR to ensure staff salaries, benefits, and deductions are processed accurately and on time.
Audit Coordination: Prepare relevant documentation for internal and external audits to ensure a smooth verification process.
Cost Analysis: Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction or improved financial efficiency.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow).
Process supplier invoices, track outstanding payments, and prepare vendor payments.
Record day-to-day financial transactions (e.g., purchases, sales, receipts, payments).
General Ledger Management: Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, and ensure all bank statements are reconciled on a weekly or monthly basis.
Collaborate with management to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filing and documentation.
Qualification
B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
0- 1 year experience in an Accounting Role
