Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automobile Mechanic (Light Vehicle) with a minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing light vehicles.
- The ideal candidate must be technically sound, safety-conscious, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in light vehicles.
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs.
- Repair and replace faulty engine parts, brakes, suspension, steering, and transmission systems.
- Inspect vehicles to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and workshop procedures.
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Requirements & Qualifications
- National Diploma (ND) or equivalent technical qualification in Automobile Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years relevant experience as an automobile mechanic (light vehicles).
- Strong knowledge of petrol and diesel light vehicles.
- Ability to diagnose faults accurately and repair efficiently.
- Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Skills (Added Advantage):
- Basic auto-electrical knowledge.
- Experience working with multiple vehicle brands.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
