Job Summary:
- The Sub-Contract Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, awarding, and administering sub-contract agreements for construction projects. The role ensures that sub-contractors are selected competitively, contracts are commercially sound, and project delivery requirements for cost, quality, safety, and timelines are met in line with Julius Berger’s standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, pre-qualify, and manage sub-contractors for construction works.
- Prepare and issue RFQs/ITTs and coordinate tender processes.
- Evaluate technical and commercial bids with project and QS teams.
- Support contract negotiations, award recommendations, and documentation.
- Administer sub-contract agreements and monitor compliance.
- Collaborate with Project, Engineering, QS, HSE, and Finance teams.
- Maintain procurement records and prepare status reports.
Education, Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
- 3–5 years’ experience in sub-contract procurement. Experience within the construction industry is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of BOQs, drawings, and construction contract terms.
- Strong negotiation, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; ERP/procurement systems is an advantage.
