Job Purpose
- To oversee all factory operations and ensure optimal utilization of resources (labor, raw materials, production materials, utilities, etc.) so that the factory consistently operates at 95% capacity while meeting quality, safety, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management:
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily factory operations to achieve production targets.
- Ensure all factors of production are available and efficiently utilized.
- Monitor and maintain 95% operating capacity.
Resource Planning:
- Coordinate procurement and availability of raw materials, consumables, and utilities.
- Manage workforce scheduling and allocation.
Process Optimization:
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Monitor KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, and throughput.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and develop production supervisors and factory staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Reporting:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
Performance Metrics
- Factory operating capacity ≥ 95%.
- Reduction in downtime and waste.
- On-time delivery of production targets.
- Compliance with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in factory or plant operations (preferably in
- manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and lean manufacturing principles.
