Job Description
- For the safe and efficient operation of cranes to support lifting, loading, offloading, positioning, and movement of heavy cargo, equipment, and materials within the terminal.
- The role ensures compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures to support uninterrupted terminal operations
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate mobile cranes to lift, move, position, and place containers, cargo, and heavy equipment as assigned
- Strictly adhere to safety procedures, lifting standards, and load charts
- Ensure safe working areas are maintained during crane operations and coordinate with riggers and signalers
- Record daily operational logs and report abnormalities, breakdowns, or near misses
- Execute assigned jobs within agreed timelines while minimizing idle time and rework
- Carry other related tasks assigned by the line manager
Minimum Educational Qualifications / Certifications / Years of Experience
- Minimum of a BSc or HND from a reputable university.
- A high level of physical agility, including the ability to bend, climb, and to work in outdoor environments.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be medically fit for the role.
