Job Summary
- The Kitchen Assistant supports the kitchen team in preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations to deliver high-quality meals to guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs in preparing ingredients (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, marinating)
- Help with cooking and assembling dishes as directed by the chef
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Ensure proper storage of food items according to health and safety standards
- Wash and organize dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware
- Dispose of kitchen waste properly and maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas
- Monitor inventory and notify the chef of low stock of supplies
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations
