- The Director, Sports and Recreation, is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration and coordination of sports and recreation activities in the University.
Eligibility and experience
The candidate must have:
- A good honours degree in Sports Science and Human Kinetics, or Physical and Health Education (from a recognised body)
- Fifteen (15) years relevant post-qualification experience
- A relevant higher degree
- Five (5) years at Deputy Director of Sports and Recreation level in a University or comparable body
- Membership of relevant professional bodies
- Proficiency in ICT
Key responsibilities

- Designing, running, and overseeing sports leagues, fitness classes, camps, and recreation events for staff and students
- Creating and managing budgets; seeking funding; handling sponsorships
- Drawing up an annual sports calendar for the University
