Import Planning & Coordination
- Plan and coordinate the importation of raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, packaging materials, machinery, and spare parts.
- Ensure timely availability of imported materials to support uninterrupted production.
Regulatory & Compliance Management
- Ensure all imports comply with pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, customs laws, and international trade regulations.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities for import permits, product clearances, and approvals.
Documentation & Customs Clearance
- Prepare, review, and manage import documentation including invoices, packing lists, certificates of analysis (CoA), certificates of origin, MSDS, and shipping documents.
- Liaise with customs agents to ensure smooth and timely clearance of pharmaceutical consignments.
Supplier & Freight Management
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines.
- Negotiate shipping terms, freight rates, and delivery schedules.
Quality & GMP Coordination
- Ensure imported materials meet approved quality specifications and GMP requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Quality Control for inspection, sampling, and release of imported materials.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor import costs, duties, taxes, and logistics expenses.
- Ensure accurate inventory records and cost optimization in line with company budgets.
Risk Management & Problem Resolution
- Identify and manage risks related to delays, shortages, damage, or non-compliance.
- Resolve import-related issues such as shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, or regulatory holds.
