Summary
- We’re currently supporting an aviation leadership search for an Assistant Director of Flight Operations based in Lagos.
- This role is ideal for a seasoned aviation professional with strong hands-on experience across flight operations, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the management of day-to-day flight operations, scheduling, dispatch, and crew coordination
- Ensuring full compliance with aviation regulations and oversight of the Safety Management System (SMS)
- Leading, mentoring, and developing flight and operational crews
- Driving operational efficiency, fleet utilisation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Supporting strategic planning and working closely with senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid ATPL or equivalent aviation certification strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in flight operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards
- Proven leadership, decision-making, and crisis management capability.
