Role Accountabilities
External Communications & Brand Management
- Strategy & Branding: Develop and implement a cohesive brand and communications strategy aligned with the Foundation’s vision.
- Content & Media Management: Manage and Curate content creation across all platforms (website, social media, press) and manage key communication materials
- like speeches, op-eds, and press releases.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Plan and execute engagement activities—virtual and in person—to boost visibility and connection with stakeholders.
- Performance & Insights: Monitor communication efforts and deliver quarterly reports with performance insights and recommendations.
- Partnerships & Campaigns: Build media and stakeholder partnerships and lead brand campaigns that promote Extrapreneurship and sustainable impact.
Internal Communications
- Internal Communications Strategy: Design and execute an internal communications strategy that keeps employees informed and inspired, with a strong emphasis on encouraging their participation and volunteering in Foundation-led projects, leveraging compelling content and consistent updates across internal channels.
- Curate and share stories that highlight the Foundation’s impact and promote understanding of its mission among internal stakeholders.
- Champion awareness and internal alignment of Sahara Group’s social impact strategy acrossthe organisation.
- Design, produce and disseminate communication materials, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
Stakeholder Engagement, Finance & Administration
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with the Foundation’s project team and Sahara OpCos to engage with stakeholders and local communities to understand priority
- needs and develop communication strategies that raise Awareness and drive participation in Foundation initiatives.
- Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage the annual communications budget to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of all activities.
- Strategic Support & Advisory: Provide communications counsel to leadership and stakeholders, and undertake additional tasks aligned with the Foundation’s strategic
- objectives
Knowledge, Skill & Key Requirements
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
- In-depth understanding and hands-on experience in communications & brand strategy implementation.
- Knowledge of the Corporate Social Responsibility agenda and ESG initiatives.
- Exceptional communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- In-depth knowledge of best writing and messaging practices for business correspondence, public relations, advertising, marketing and sales copy and social media.
- Professional understanding of crisis management,
- Ability to effectively engage with team members of all levels and across departments.
- Great project management skills, including time management, goal-setting, multitasking and prioritization.
- Good data analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Advanced organization abilities.
- Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas.
- Understanding of communication and brand trends.

Minimum Qualification/Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience with large organization, relating with people of diverse cultures.
- Bachelors' degree in an appropriate or relevant course.
- Experience in copy writing, brand management, crisis management and media relations.
- Experience in managing digital hubs, social media platforms and online content.
- Experience in Corporate Social Responsibility and Development.
- Sustainability experience would be beneficial.
