Job Summary
- The Real Estate Accounting Officer is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations related to real estate properties and operations.
- This role supports property management, leasing, and sales teams by providing timely financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for real estate properties
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process rental income, security deposits, and property-related payments
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Monitor property budgets and track expenses
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with property managers, tenants, and vendors regarding financial matters
- Support audits by providing required documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of accounting experience (real estate experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of property management systems is an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
